Clarity
Features
Sometimes,
Clouds are hazy or milky areas in a diamond that occasionally
resemble a galaxy . Most clouds are made up of crystals too
tiny to see individually under ten-power can leave magnification.
Clouds may be hard to find in diamonds with high clarity grades.
When clouds are large and dense, they can make your diamond
look undesirably white.
Growth
or grain lines are fine lines or ripples caused by irregular
crystallization .Sometimes diamonds look hazy when many of
these lines are present. w they aren't,
Cavities are large indentations where chunks of the diamond
are missing . They may look like mountain ranges or eroded
canyons.
Laser
drill holes look like suspended fishing lines . They're actually
tiny holes lames. Most drilled into the diamond with a laser
beam, allowing black spots to be bleached out with chemicals.
This treatment is considered legitimate and normally improves
the appearance.
There
are times, however, when the diamond looks worse after drilling
due to the resulting long white drill holes. To see laser
holes you usually have to tilt the diamond or view it from
the side.
